Greg Wray, Biology

My research interests concern the evolution of developmental mechanisms at the cell biological and molecular levels. The current focus of my lab is on the evolution of developmental regulatory genes and interactions among them in echinoderms. The main thrust of our research is elucidating the genetic basis for evolutionary changes in the expression profiles and downstream targets of orthodenticle in echinoderms. A separate project examines the developmental basis for wing polymorphism in ants.
